Pest Control Railway Estate

Cockroaches behind the kitchen kick-board, ants tracking along a skirting board, spiders rebuilding in the same corner every week — if that’s what brought you here, you’re in the right place. Railway Estate sits inside our regular service area, and we treat homes here the same week where the diary allows. This is residential work: houses, units and townhouses, with kids and pets in mind.

Do we come to Railway Estate? We come to you across Railway Estate — homes across the suburb, with the same team and the same call-out process throughout the area.

Pest Control in Railway Estate

You get a treated home rather than a treated spot. That means the internal areas where pests actually shelter — under sinks, behind appliances, wall voids at the kick-boards, bathroom and laundry cavities — plus the full external perimeter, eaves, weep holes, downpipes and the fence line where they come in from. Cockroaches, ants, spiders, silverfish and wasps are all covered in a general treatment. Rats and mice are handled differently, with baiting and trapping placed where they travel and away from where children and animals go. The products we use are chosen so you can have the dog back inside and the kids on the floor once things are dry, and you’ll get straight advice on what to expect afterwards — a few days of increased activity as they move, then quiet.

How it works

Start with a free quote, then book online for a day that suits. You’ll get a confirmation email with pre-treatment advice — clearing benches, moving the pet bowls, pulling toys off the floor — so nothing has to be rushed on the morning. The day before, an SMS reminder lands. On the day, Rob or Dale walks the house with you first, so you can point out where you’ve been seeing them, then treats inside and out. Pay by EFTPOS when it’s done. You’ll get post-treatment advice before we leave, and a check-in email a week later, which is the point at which you actually know whether it worked.

Why us

The business is locally owned and run by Rob, a licensed pest technician who came to this from electrical engineering — which mostly shows up as a habit of finding the entry point rather than spraying the symptom. Two of us do the work, so the person who quotes you is the person who turns up. And the one-week check-in isn’t a marketing touch: it’s the only honest way to stand behind a treatment, because a week is long enough for a job that didn’t hold to show it.

What it costs

Quotes are free and the price is confirmed before you commit — no on-the-day adjustments once someone’s standing in your hallway. What moves the number is the size of the home, the pest involved, and whether you want a one-off treatment or an annual one that keeps it from building back up. Payment is EFTPOS on the day, after the work is done.

There’s one thing worth knowing here. Townsville City Council names this a low-lying area, listing it alongside Oonoonba, South Townsville and parts of Hermit Park as needing extra precaution when heavy rain, strong winds and high tides line up — residents are advised to move items to higher ground and to keep cars off the street, because saltwater does permanent damage. Council also lists king tides as inundating these lower sections of the city. For pest work that mainly affects timing: an external perimeter treatment is worth having in place before a wet stretch rather than chasing the problem after one, and if your yard has recently been under water, tell us when you book so we can plan where treatment will actually hold.

Getting started

Ask for a free quote or book straight in online — say what you’ve been seeing and where, and roughly how big the house is. We’re on Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. You’ll have the confirmation and the pre-treatment advice in your inbox the same day.

Common questions

Is the treatment safe around children and pets?

Yes — pet- and family-safe methods are the standard here, not an upgrade. You’ll get pre-treatment advice by email so bowls, bedding and toys are out of the way beforehand, and post-treatment advice on when everyone can be back in the treated areas.

Do you actually cover Railway Estate?

Yes. It’s part of the regular Townsville service area, along with the surrounding suburbs. Bookings run Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

We’re low-lying and get water through after big tides — does that change anything?

Mainly the timing. Council lists this among the low-lying areas that need extra precaution when heavy rain, strong winds and high tides combine, and names king tides as inundating these sections of Townsville. It’s better to have the external perimeter treated ahead of a wet stretch than after one, so mention recent water in the yard when you book.

How and when do I pay?

The quote is free and the price is agreed before the booking. You pay by EFTPOS on the day, once the treatment is finished.
